SO FAR . . . . . .
·
Hotels (Windsor, Quality, Jameson, Hampton, Baymont [formerly Holiday],
and Blackshear) have been contracted. All hotel rates include breakfast.
·
In-person meetings with the various Americus organizations taking place.
·
All events held will be held at Georgia Southwest State University in
Americus Georgia (http://gsw.edu/main/)
·
The Vietnam Traveling Wall and the Some Gave All panels will be on
display at Georgia Southwest State University throughout the weekend.
·
Our schedule of events for last year seemed to work well. With that in
mind, we are trying to keep all events indoors as the heat has become a
factor during the Ride Home weekend; and we are trying to spread out the
activities and give our guests the opportunity to relax and have more
free time to spend as they wish.
There is NO Thursday night reception - so guests arriving on Thursday
will have free time. We have arranged with some restaurants to have a
Ride Home special dinner at a reasonable cost and will have that
information posted in the lobby of each hotel.
